Brian Rogish, the PGA Director of Instruction at Lansdowne Resort, has been named to the prestigious Golf Digest list of “Best Young Teachers in America” for 2025-26 in its October/November issue.

“It is quite an honor to be recognized as one of the best young teachers in America,” said Rogish. “As coaches and teachers, we always strive to be our very best and to encourage the same enthusiasm for the game from those we teach.”

Rogish, 39, has spent his entire career improving the game for golfers of all skill levels, from beginners to top amateur players. A passionate advocate for junior golf, Rogish’s teaching efforts have led to over 50 junior golfers receiving college scholarships and becoming college athletes.  In addition, he has coached Loudon County’s Riverside High School golf team for seven years and won the state championship in 2022.

Prior to his arrival at Lansdowne Resort in 2017, Rogish, originally from Pennsylvania and a graduate of King’s College, worked at Turning Stone Resort and Casino, Nemacolin Woodlands and Crystal Springs Resorts. Earlier in his career, he worked at several private, member-owned country clubs in Pennsylvania and Florida.

Other recognitions received by Rogish include the Tri-State PGA Teacher of the Year (2014) and Golf Digest’s Top 40 Instructors under 40 (2016).

“We are proud of Brian and pleased to see him recognized by Golf Digest,” said Kevin Carter, Managing Director of Lansdowne Resort. “He has a unique skill to translate sophisticated concepts into simple, tangible coaching practices. He exemplifies our commitment to provide innovative, world-class instructional experiences for our membership and resort guests.”

Twenty-five miles from Washington, D.C., Lansdowne Resort boasts three of the region’s finest courses open to resort guests and members. The Robert Trent Jones Jr. course makes the most of the area’s rolling terrain, bringing elevation, water, and mental challenge into play, while the Greg Norman course is flatter, playing along the Potomac, through hardwood forest, and past rocky outcroppings, and includes a four-hole stretch at the end that the Shark himself labeled “the hardest mile in golf.” New or non-golfers, as well as juniors, families, and really anyone else, will have a blast on Norman’s “Sharkbite” course, nine entertaining holes with enough charm and challenge to guarantee a good time along with stunning river views.

Additionally, The Lansdowne Golf Academy offers one-to-one or group instruction, with a range of programs for juniors from age four through teens. The Academy is one of the few facilities in the region with advanced biomechanics systems to capture and analyze every component of the swing.

Golf Digest’s biennial list of the top golf instructors younger than age 40, stands at an all-time high of 191, including 59 newcomers. This impressive group of instructors under 40 represents the unprecedented growth of golf in recent years. Nominations are accepted from respected sources, which include tour players, previously recognized teachers, and instructors on the Golf Digest state and national rankings.
