GENERAL

What time is check-in/check-out? Do you offer early check-in or late check-out?
Check-in is 4PM and check-out is 11AM. If you arrive at the resort before 4PM, we will check you in early if your room is available. Depending upon room availability, we can offer a late check-out at noon for no fee, 1PM for $50 and 2PM for $75.

Do you allow smoking on the property?
Yes, we have designated smoking areas in front of the property and on the sides of the porte-cochère and on our back terrace.

Is the resort pet-friendly?
Yes, we welcome your dog with a $150 non-refundable fee per pet, per room up to six nights and $225 for up to two pets per room. For stays of seven to 30 days, an additional $200 deep-cleaning fee is required. Restrictions: Dogs must be under 75 pounds and no more than two pets per room.

 Is there a fee for WiFi?
No, our WiFi is complimentary. Simply choose the network Lansdowne Guest Net. No password is required.

Do you have a fitness center?
Yes, our fitness center is open 24 hours for guests. To learn more about amenities and services available, visit our Fitness Center page.

Do you have a spa?
Yes, Spa Minérale offers a comprehensive menu of spa treatments and salon services. To view hours and available treatments, visit our Spa page.

Do you have a pool?
Yes, our indoor heated lap pool and hot tub are open year-round. From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, our outdoor Aquatic Center – featuring three pools, including a zero-depth “walk-in” pool with interactive pop-jet fountain and waterslide – is open.

What is your cancellation policy?
All stays require 72 hours for cancellation.

Is there a resort fee?
Our amenities fee is $32 a day per room and covers all resort perks, including:
High-speed internet access in guestrooms and public spaces
Daily delivery of USA Today to your room
Two bottled waters per guestroom upon check-in
Use of our fully-equipped Fitness Center, including group classes
Access to the Aquatic Center with indoor and outdoor swimming pool
Use of the golf driving range (dress code applies – reference golf section of this page for details)
Use of sports courts including tennis, basketball and sand volleyball

Are rollaway beds available?
Yes, the fee for a rollaway bed is $40 per night. Due to fire code regulations, rollaway beds are only permitted in rooms with a king bed.

Are there taxes and governmental fees?
Our room tax is 6% of the rate in addition to a local occupancy tax of 8%.

Is your property wheelchair accessible?
Yes, our resort is accessible by wheelchair. We also offer ADA-compliant guestrooms.

Do you serve free breakfast?
We do not offer complimentary breakfast. However, resort guests can enjoy breakfast offerings from Riverside Hearth and Harmony Market. Visit our Dining page for hours and details.

What if I lose an item during my stay?
To report a lost item, please visit our third-party provider, I Left My Stuff.Com and complete the form. Once you’ve entered your information, a resort representative will be in touch.

What are the closest airports?
Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) is just 20 minutes from the resort. The next closest is Regan National Airport (DCA), which is about an hour away.

Do you offer airport shuttles?
We provide a paid shuttle service from Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) for $35 per person each way. Shuttles require advance reservations. For airport transportation, please schedule it here and kindly use booking code 2021RM1. For all other transportation requests, please visit Connect BBC or call (703) 707-2020.

How do I get to the resort?
Directions from Washington Dulles Airport:
Follow signs to VA-28 N
After 4.3 miles, exit left onto VA-7 W toward Leesburg/Winchester
After 2.5 miles, exit onto Ashburn Village Blvd. toward State Rt. 2020 N
After 0.1 miles turn left onto Riverside Parkway
After 0.6 miles, turn right onto Woodridge Parkway

Is there free onsite parking?
Yes, we offer complimentary self-parking for our resort guests. You may choose to valet your car for $20 per day.

 

SPA

Do I have to be a resort guest to enjoy the spa?
No, our spa can be enjoyed by resort guests, club members and outside visitors as well.

How do I make an appointment?
You can make an appointment online by tapping the BOOK link at the top of any page on our website. You can also call 703.729.4036 to speak with one of our reservation specialist.

When should I reserve my treatment?
To enjoy the best availability, we recommend making spa reservations at least three weeks in advance. We are proud to offer both male and female service providers – if you have a preference, please state that at the time of making your reservation. We welcome walk-ins and will do our best to accommodate you based on availability.

What if I don’t make my scheduled appointment or arrive late?
We ask that you kindly observe a 24-hour cancellation and appointment change policy. Cancellations made with less than 24-hours’ notice will result in a full charge for the treatment. “No shows” will also be charged in full. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your spa services to allow time to change. If your schedule permits, we highly recommend arriving an hour early to enjoy our saunas, steam rooms, whirlpools and lounges. If you arrive late for your spa appointment, your service may be modified to conclude at its scheduled time in order to honor the next guest’s appointment.

What is the minimum age for spa patrons?
Guests of the spa must be at least 18 years of age to enjoy a private spa service. Services to younger spa-goers (between the ages of 13 and 17) are provided at our discretion and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of any closed-door service.

Are there gratuities for services?
Gratuity is at your discretion. An 18-20% gratuity is traditional when receiving quality services. For groups of six or more, a 20% gratuity charge will be added to all treatments. Please note that our spa is a cashless facility. If you would like to tip your therapist in cash, please bring the exact amount and request an envelope at our spa desk.

What should I wear and bring to the spa?
For your comfort, the spa provides robes and slippers to wear in our facility. We request that you do not bring valuable possessions into the spa. If you are a resort guest, we encourage you to leave your belongings in the security of your guestroom.

What if I have physical, medical or allergy concerns?
Always inform the reservation agent when making an appointment of any physical, medical or allergy concerns. Please also inform your service provider if you are pregnant, have high blood pressure, heart ailments or any condition that may prohibit you from receiving heat, massage or skin care therapies. Additionally, if you have an immune deficiency disorder, are going through medical treatment or were recently ill, we recommend consulting with your physician before having spa treatments. We highly discourage alcohol consumption prior to, during or immediately following spa treatments. Please avoid sun exposure following skin therapy services.

What should I know before arriving for my spa treatment?
We recommend familiarizing yourself with our spa policies to ensure you enjoy your experience to the fullest.

 

GOLF

Who can play the courses?
Our private golf courses are accessible by overnight resort guests, plus club members and their guests only.

How do I reserve a tee time?
You can make an appointment by calling 703.729.4071.

What is the rain policy?
All tee times are subject to weather delays. If the courses are open, we are allowing play at scheduled tee times. If the course is unplayable or closed due to weather, we will offer you a time to reschedule.

What is the dress code on resort golf courses?
The Golf Club at Lansdowne’s goal is to create an environment that is relaxing, yet worthy of our reputation as a premier private club facility. The dress policy is not meant to comment on the fashion decision of our members and guests, however, we strive to create a policy that provides consistency with both the tradition of private clubs and our AAA Four-Diamond rated Resort. The following policy is in place at all times within the Clubhouse dining areas and the Golf Facilities, except where other clothing is customary such as Locker Rooms, Pools, Health Club, and Tennis Courts.

Permitted:
Men: shirts with collars and sleeves. Turtleneck and mock neck shirts are included.
Women: shirts must either have a collar or sleeves. Turtleneck and mock neck shirts are included.
In clubhouse and patio areas: non-torn denim, slacks, Bermuda length shorts (mid-thigh or longer), skirts, skorts and dresses.
Shoes must be worn at all times. Lansdowne is a non-metal spike facility.
Children 14 and older are required to meet the dress code above. Children under 14 should be dressed in clothing with this standard in mind and in consideration of their ages.
Special events may dictate additional dress requirements.

Not permitted:
T-Shirts, cut-offs, sweat pants, athletic shorts, halter-tops, bathing suits, and short shorts.
The Club Dress Policy applies to members and guests visiting the Club. It is the member’s responsibility to advise their guests of the Club’s policies.

What if I’m a good player and my companion is a beginner?
Our courses have multiple sets of tees for varying skill levels. Sharkbite, our Greg Norman-designed 9-hole course is perfect for beginners and fun for skilled golfers as well.

What method of teaching is used at the Golf Academy?
Our extraordinary golf pro staff provides both one-on-one and group lessons to resort guests and club members. We have several programs targeting all aspects of the game. Our mission is to determine the student’s goals, utilize the latest technologies to validate golfer behaviors and customize a program.

What is the student/teacher ratio?
For clinics, there is typically an 8:1 ratio.

When is your scheduled course maintenance?
We aerify in spring (late March/early April) and then again in the fall (September/October). With two 18-hole championship courses, we make every effort to schedule maintenance to allow one course to heal before addressing the other.

Are range balls with my rounds?
Yes, range balls are included in fees.

Can I rent golf clubs and shoes?
Yes, we offer new Callaway rental clubs each season, including: men’s, ladies’, juniors’, right-handed, left-handed, stiff, regular and more. We charge $65 per set for rental, which includes six golf balls. We do not rent golf shoes, but do allow tennis shoes on our courses.

Can I leave my clubs at the golf course during my stay?
Yes, complimentary club storage is available to both resort guests and club members.

Can juniors drive golf carts?
A valid driver’s license is required to operate our golf carts.

Can I bring a cooler onto the course?
Outside food and drink is prohibited on our golf courses. Fully stocked beverage carts travel throughout the courses for refreshment during your round and players can stop at Turnberry’s between holes 9 and 10 of the Greg Norman Course. After play, golfers can enjoy food and drinks at Piedmont’s in the clubhouse.

Can someone ride along with me while I play my round?
This is typically permitted. Please check with the golf shop on the day of play to confirm.

Is there a cart fee?
No, cart fees are included in your golf round, golf package or guest fee.

What is the pace of play on your courses?
For the benefit of all golfers, we typically like to maintain a reasonable pace of play at 4 hours and 30 minutes on our 18-hole courses. We ask that you keep up with the group in front of you and have player assistance available to help, as needed.

Can you accommodate players with disabilities?
While we do not maintain a wheelchair-accessible cart, we can make arrangements accommodate such players with advance notice.

What are the cart path rules?
The rules for the day are determined by weather, course maintenance, seasonality and other factors. We make every effort to accommodate a 90-degree rule whenever possible.
