Embark on a Global Wine Adventure at Lansdowne Resort’s Spring Signature Dinners

This spring, Lansdowne Resort invites wine and culinary aficionados to journey through the vibrant landscapes of South America—without ever leaving Virginia. The resort’s acclaimed Signature Wine Dinner Series returns, promising two unforgettable evenings that celebrate the artistry, heritage, and bold flavors of Argentina and Chile. Each event promises to transport guests to the heart of these renowned wine regions, pairing world-class wines with exquisite cuisine in an atmosphere of discovery and delight.

March 26: Argentina’s Zuccardi Wines—A Taste of the Andes

The series opens with a spotlight on Argentina’s Zuccardi Wines, hailed as “New World Winery of the Year” by Wine Enthusiast and the only Argentine winery to earn three perfect 100-point scores from The Wine Advocate in a single year. Guests will savor the signature Malbecs of the high-altitude Uco Valley—rich, velvety, and fruit-forward—alongside other exceptional varietals like Tempranillo, Bonarda, and Cabernet Sauvignon.

“We are doing something truly unique with our mountain wines and are proud to share them with the world,” says winemaker Sebastián Zuccardi. “I love opening a bottle and being transported to its place of origin.”

May 19: Chile’s Cousiño Macul—Legacy in Every Glass

On May 19, the journey continues to Chile’s Maipo Valley, often called the “Bordeaux of South America.” Cousiño Macul, one of Chile’s oldest family-owned wineries, brings its legacy of bold, expressive Cabernet Sauvignons and a winemaking tradition dating back to 1856. Each glass reflects the soul of the Maipo Valley, offering a taste of history and craftsmanship that has defined Chilean wine for generations.

An Immersive Culinary Experience

Both evenings begin with a lively welcome reception, followed by a three-course dinner expertly paired with selections from the featured winery and finished with a decadent dessert. The events run from 6:30 to 9 p.m., and overnight accommodations are available for those who wish to extend their escape.

“These events reflect our commitment to delivering immersive, memorable experiences for our guests and visitors,” says Carol Smith, Managing Director of Lansdowne Resort. “We look forward to another exceptional series.”
